About Sophie Venturini

Sophie has been a practising artist for 20 years maintaining a vibrant studio and family life. She paints both figurative and abstract painting on canvas using oils acrylics, inks and pastels. She also paints expressive abstract realistic portraits exploring jungian human archetypes such as the hero, the creator, the ruler etc. Focusing on the female psychological experience as that is her main interest admitting all her work is autobiographical . Obsessed with light and colour and their frequencies whilst simultaneously honoring the ‘shadow’ both in the psyche and in painting !
