About Gary Kimber Photography
My photography journey started from a young age, when my Dad taught me how to 'pan' the camera for speedy shots whilst at Brands Hatch. The camera then was a simple point &shoot Kodak, but in my teens I progressed to Praktica and then onto Canon 35mm gear.
Up to now these photos were simply for my pleasure, but for 1983 I decided that I wanted to try to 'get somewhere' with the motorsport photography. Soon I had Press Passes at various Circuits, mainly due to being photographer for Racing for Britain.
I enjoyed many years of that sort of access and took in F1, WEC, BTCC, F3 and other forms of motorsport like motorcycle Grass Track, Speedway & Karting. I started out in 1983 as Gary Kimber Photography, but a few years later changed that to Treble Blue Photography.
Now that I am retired from work, my main focus is on seascapes and landscapes.
I also have a large Motorsport archive from 1983 through to 2004 that I am currently scanning from old negatives, to create a digital and catalogued archive. Grand Prix coverage is some from1980 & '81 then from '83 to 1991. Please email me for any particular car or driver and I will advise availability. My archive from 2005 is digital already and just requires cataloguing.
Any of those images could easily be added to this site for printing if required - please enquire (as that part costs nothing).
