About Erik Michel

My grandmother bought me a paint box for my eighth birthday, I was so excited that I painted all night in my room. My parents always encouraged me to be creative and express myself from the heart, this I did on my own then at the age of 18 I went to City and Guilds art school in London where I graduated four years later.
It was there that I met my wife to be and we both worked in restaurants to support ourselves. After some years we were able to buy our own restaurant where I cooked and my creativity came out on the plate rather than on the canvas. We became one of the top restaurants in the country, but I was missing my painting very much
In 1992 I was finally able to get started on my painting again and I haven’t stopped since, accumulating goodness knows how many rolled up canvases !!! Over the years I have sold several paintings and had a few exhibitions also featuring in Blue Canvas an art magazine in 2012 Now I feel ready to join up with and sell some more of my work.
