The constantly changing sands of Morecambe Bay with its daily tidal magic and reveals, seaped ( or soaked) into my paintings and drawings whilst living there some 20 odd years ago. This painting ( 1st slide) is a very paired down view of the bay with 3 friends running in the distance, as the tide was moving out in the late afternoon, was my first painting of the bay. I remember using household emulsion, charcoal and ochre coloured clay. #bay #tidal #minimal #painting
