Galactic Mist is a small oil painting, measuring 5 by 7 inches. It captures an abstract vision of a cosmic scene where swirling clouds of blue, yellow, white, and touches of brown gather against a deep background. Tiny white specks punctuate the composition, suggesting distant stars drifting in space. My goal was to convey a feeling of depth and subtle movement, as if the scene itself is alive with the quiet energy of a nebula. For this piece, I used my fingers to blend the colors directly on the surface, allowing a more tactile and immediate connection to the forms as they emerged. This approach gave the painting a softness and fluidity that felt fitting for a celestial atmosphere.
